Greene King
Fountains Abbey is a beautiful Victorian pub in Paddington. Built in 1823, this historic tavern is stepped in tradition and still boasts many of its ornate features and original character.

So without the bitter and fruity hops prevalent in either style, it is easy to get disappointed, move on to the next beer and not appreciate this Greene King for what it is.
The grist also has some very dark malt to create an amber Look and provide astringency since the bitter hops are few.
And by the way, very fresh... straight from the cask that the recipe was designed for.
My bad timing that day in beer and tennis.
